Procedure required for the award of a postgraduate degree

(Provided that all the requirements of the Study Programme have been completed and the grade of the Master’s Thesis has been submitted to the Department Secretariat)

In order to receive your degree, you must participate in a graduation ceremony, from which you may be exempted only for exceptionally serious reasons, such as employment abroad or health issues.

You are required to gather the following supporting documents and send them via email to the Secretariat (pms_info@csd.auth.gr) up to 10 days before the graduation ceremony. By that time, you will receive a bilingual certificate of completion of studies from the Secretariat through the system https://students.auth.gr/.

Required documents for the award of the Postgraduate Degree:

1. Submission of your Master’s Thesis to the Central Library of AUTH. You will be given a certificate, which you must send to the Secretariat via email. More information about the submission process can be found on the Central Library website.

2. You must submit an application here in order to verify that you do not owe any library books (in the “Library” field you must select “Physics & Informatics”).

3. Certificate of clearance from the AUTH student dormitories (only for students who resided there).

4. Proof of completion of the questionnaire available on the MODIP website (https://qa.auth.gr/student).

5. Submission of your academic ID to the Secretariat or sending it by post to the following address:
“Aristotle University of Thessaloniki, Secretariat of Postgraduate Studies, Department of Informatics, Biology Building, Thessaloniki, 54124”

After the graduation ceremony, you must submit an application at https://students.auth.gr/ for any certificates you wish to obtain (bilingual copy of the postgraduate diploma (with fee), and/or transcript of records per type or per semester in bilingual format (with fee), and/or postgraduate diploma parchment (with fee)), following the instructions of the IT Center.
